On behalf of the Arizona Centennial Commission, and its Arizona Centennial 2012 Foundation, it is my pleasure to inform you that “EXPO 2012” has been sanctioned by the Arizona Centennial 2012 Foundation Sanctioned Events Committee and has formally received the “Official Centennial Event” designation.
The Arizona Centennial commemoration promises to be a year of celebration, reflection and newfound discovery of Arizona's most important cultural and historical treasures. Expo 2012 is a perfect event to have associated with the centennial and we look forward to working with you in the coming months and years.
As you know from the application process, the benefits of this endorsement provides your event the right to use the official Centennial logo, inclusion in the Centennial Calendar of Events, and promotion of your event through news releases, newsletters, and the www.arizona100.org Website. As you also know, what this endorsement does not provide is any funding for sanctioned events at this time. If funds do become available through the Foundation we will inform the primary event contact.
The Arizona Centennial Commission will send out a news release announcing the sanctioning of the EXPO 2012 as well as the other events that have been given the “Official Centennial Event” designation by the first sanction deadline.
Congratulations on being an official part of Arizona’s Centennial! If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Mandi Wimmer at 602-364-3723 or via email at mwimmer@arizona100.org.
Best regards,
Karen Churchard
Director, Arizona Centennial Commission and
